Spelljammer Converting Spelljammer creatures

I thought about Construct too, except that the original description says that they eat, something that constructs don't do (not even living constructs).

The type rules are just the default, its permissible to add special cases that break them (Constructs that eat, Undead that breath et cetera), provided you add an appropriate SQ.

That said, I prefer them as Elementals or Native Outsiders.

What about my proposal to use the MagiStar as a foundation for the Blazozoid?

Sounds like a good plan!

Since they "consist entirely of fiery plasma gas", I'm leaning slightly toward elemental.

Well genies are formed from smokeless fire you know, and they're Outsiders. :p

...although I slightly prefer Elemental for them too.

I still have to go with lawful; golems are neutral because they're mindless.

Elemental is ok with me, too, but then we should make living stars elemental whenever they come up. But I actually think Aberration is a pretty good fit too.

Contrariwise, I think golems are neutral because they're will-less. Aren't there a fair few intelligent golems in D&D?

Shall we leave it to Shade to break the tie?

Same here, I have a slight leaning toward Elemental thematically, but Native Outsider and Aberration suit me just as well.

It's mostly a question of how good do we want their stats to be!

Wow...I'm usually the one calling for tiebreakers!

How about just going with "any nonchaotic"?

Yeah, these would fit into many different groups. I'm really not fond of Aberration, but after further thought, Native Outsider might be a better fit than Elemental. I think I'm subconsciously trying to shore up the ranks of elementalkind. ;)
