Converting VP/WP to Hit Points. Help Please?

Jaws

First Post
I am interested in purchasing Spycraft to use as the setting for a Call of Cthulhu campaign. I have no experience with the Vital Points / Wound Points system. How easy is it to convert Hit Points to VP/WP and vice versa?

Anyone playing Spycraft or Star Wars who could give detailed information would be greatly appreciated.

Peace and smiles :)

Easily enough...

Vitality = hps
Wounds = Con score

Vitality "heals" at a rate of 1 VP per hour per character level.
Wounds always heal at a rate of 1 per day regardless of level.

When you run out of VPs, you get "fatigued".
When you take Wound damage, you must take a Fort save, or fall unconscious... I forget the details, maybe someone can look them up.

When you reach 0 WPs, you are dying... just like D&D.

Critical hits, instead of multiplying damage, bypass Vitality and apply straight to WPs. This means you should remove all critical multipiers from weapons, and reduce all critical threat ranges by 1, with a minimum threat of 20.

Realize that there are changes to the healing skill, and other Feats that apply to WP, VP, and the Healing skill... I just don't know them off the top of my head.

But I think you get the idea.

If your character acquire Toughness feat (once or multiple times), the +3 bonus(es) is added to WP.

Or from the Star Wars RCR there is a feat called Quickness, although similar to Toughness, it adds +3 to Vitality.
