Cookie Problem Fixed - scroll to end of thread for details!

You know everytime I am about to abuse my powers as a SUPER MODERATOR (Yeah, that's right, I'm bad!) I am stopped by a prompt to login AGAIN. . .

How can I succeed as the super-villian of the boards if I have to stop every five seconds to log in again?

Next thing you know you'll be taking away my Forrester and Snoweel personas.

theres a bug in php 4.2 and php 4.2.1 with cookies. Im gonna upgrade PHP later today (you shouldnt notice any downtime) and that should fix the problem.

seems to be fixed now, upgrading the a dev version of PHP Fixed it. Read the thread "Cookie Problem?" in the meta forum for a better explanation of the problem.

Thanks, fizz!

For those who don't know - fizz is a very very helpful guy and maintains the server in a way that CI Host would never have dreamed of! :)

Morrus, are you still using CI host? Just changed servers, same host?

FYI-- I posted it in the meta forum, but the problem is not fixed for me. The User CP is set correctly, I have deleted the cookies, no go.

I have a hope that it may be better at home than here at work, my computer maintains like 4 different cookie folders for different windows users...

EDIT: FIXED AT HOME!

Umm... no. I'm using Cyberstreet, run by fizz.

It definitely seems to be fixed at the server end, so the odds are about 99% that there's something wrong at your end, I'm afraid!

You did completely exit IE (all windows) before deleting the cookies?

This is a test to see if I can post. Now forgive this premature WHOO HOO, as I'm kind of hoping that I'll FINALLY be able to post. Ahem...

... WHOO HOO!
