Cool Flash ad promoting D&D from WotC

Sorry if this has already been discovered and posted by someone else. I didn't see any threads on the first two pages.

So I was surfing around some videogame sites and found an ad for D&D. Clicked on it and took me to a really cool D&D flash ad promoting the game to non-gamers. Well, non-pen and paper gamers anyway.

I think this is a good move on WotC's part to promote the game to other crowds that might be interested, such as a video game players. I feel the ad is very well done. It presents D&D as fun and cool and helps break the "social outcast as gamer" stereotype.

Not too bad. Though I kind of felt a let down. "Gee they are fighting a demon that can cast Fireball right onto them...and they DIDN'T die!!"

I Think they were going for a "guys night out" feel. But yeah, they should have. I still liked it, tho.

This thing caused a crisis of conscience among my group. We feel that we cannot play D&D anymore since seeing this thing. Seriously, it's moronic.

More moronic than say some Pespi ads or beer commericals? Or dare I say...car commericals?!


Come on Wickket man, it may not be preminum thinking man's material but it does the job, IMHO.
