Core Books [3.5] - Background Lines

I never could stand those lines..they give me a headache: perhaps if they weren't so prominent.

I'll be glad to see them go. All of the other D&D core books look fine without them as well as WOTC's other D20 products.

The lines never bothered me, and I dont even see them when I look at the books now.

It makes sense to me that even if the overwhelming majority likes them, they get rid of them if even a small percentage of gamers have a hard time reading with them there.

Utility over art, I guess.
 

I liked the lines, too... they made the page have pizazz; otherwise it'll probably be blank white with black text. Sorry, but I get enough of that in school; give me some flavor!

However, they didn't always match up perfectly with the text, IIRC. That would appeal to the people who were distracted by them, I think.
 

The lines are cool, I thought they made the pages more interesting.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be upset if they weren't there, and there seems to be a fair amount of people who would be if they were...
