Core Rules PDF's errata'd yet?

Yea, I paid more for my PDFs than I did for my gift set on Amazon. That's a shame, because I have not bought any further PDFs of my print books, and I have all the 4e stuff so far in print.

Personally, I prefer PDF, but the print is just cheaper.

I would really like to see the option of having a discount for people who purchased the physical product reconsidered — even if it means employing one of those mail-in-rebate companies. (Although honestly, I wonder how well just using an honor system would work. Check here if you've already purchased the hard copy. After all, we all know that on a practical level paying for PDFs is already on the honor system.)
That's an extremely valid point. The old print+PDF plan was canned because it was difficult to ensure ownership of the printed book... well, pirates can dowload all the books for free in few minutes... :hmm:

Thanks for taking the time to answer in this thread. Since you've asked not to be spammed with e-mail I hope my request will be taken seriously here. It feels to me that with the pricing chosen, the PDFs are set up to fail, and I don't want to see that happen.

So, as a customer I'm asking for more resources to be put into this area. I need to be able to justify the continuing investment in PDF versions. We know that many supplements won't get reprints, but they will need errata. Putting those updates into the digital copies I'm paying more for than for hard copies is one of the few things that would make this worthwhile to me.

I know in my job having written customer requests for something is an important part of justifying expenditure on it, which is why I suggested sending mail above. The intention is to support, not to harass. If you have an alternate suggestion for how I can get this request across in a helpful way, I'd love to know. Thanks again.

My point was not meant to imply "don't write to CS ever, they'll just spam me". My point was specifically "don't write to CS and ask for Core Book PDF errata" as that particular task is in the works.

I think the feedback loop offered by CS is very important and should be utilized by you as a customer

Scott, I've held off on buying the core rules. Now that I hear about the SE Core Books possibly containing errata I am wondering if there is any truth to this. I'd love to own the SE's but don't want to waste my money on them if they are going to be exactly the same as the first hardback run. Can you confirm if the SEs will have errata?

The PDFs will be updated with errata around the time the Special edition core books come out.

The standard print core books will see it on their next reprint and that date depends on the rate of inventory movement.

Rock! Thanks : )

And on the "i have to books so i want the pfds for cheep" front, is it possible to do this all in reverse? Charge full price for the .pdf and get the real book mailed to us?

I am very interested in the reasoning why the PDF books cannot include errata even if a book is not republished.

It seems that keeping them updated in case they need to be reprinted would mean you are a step ahead on the work.

Say Adventurer's Vault needs a reprint, and you fix some of the errors including typos now, then you will easily be able to have everything ready when it comes time to print.
