Core Rules Survivor

Save stacking. Why is a 2nd level fighter/2nd level ranger/2nd level barbarian so much more resistant to poison, level loss etc than a 6th level single class? And why are they so much poorer at dodging or resisting charm spells?

get rid of the gimmicky weapons like whips and spiked chains
I'll put your choice as "Spiked Chains" and "Whips". There's enough hate for the chain to need its own option, I suspect. (Though having an option which read "Whips & Chains" would have some appeal... :) )

Resurrection mechanics/level loss.
I'll list these as "Raise dead (and related) mechanics" and "Level loss (energy drain, death)" for disambiguation, okay?

"Multi-class save stacking" sounds accurate?

An old favorite indeed!

The turn mechanics. I always have to look them up every time they come into play. Which isn't often, given other uses for turn attempts, but still. Why does it have to be so complicated compared to the "base rule" of the d20 system? Have a target, roll over that target. Should be easy, but it isn't!

Ahhh, yes. The table that's like an atavistic aboleth in the d20 rule system -- "Turn Undead". A fine choice, sir. :)

Yes, but otherwise you'd have characters casually walking around with Smaug's treasure horde in one pocket, and a spare horse and cart in the other... :p

Trained-only skills! If a character has no ranks in a skill, they're probably not going to succeed on a roll of any import, but they should at least be able to try. Why can someone Jump without training, but not Tumble?
