Could the Live Transformers Movie Herald...

I had a dream once of them doing a live action Star Blazers/ Yamato movie with the FX done like the the show Babylon 5. I have weird dreams. ;)

So they are doing a live action Transformers? Does anyone have any additional info on this?

Not much. Steven Spielberg's attached, but not directing, and they were having a hard time finding a director. Apparently, one of the sticking points was who got to do the voices. IIRC, the guy who voiced Starscream is dead, but Peter Cullen is still around to do Optimus.

Confirmed characters, last I read in Toyfare, were Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Starscream.

I wouldn't think that they could do a live-action/CGI mix, but after seeing The Returners, I kinda think it might work.

The 15th, Arael, takes Asuka's will.
It didn't take her will, it did far worse, it gave her peace. After her encounter with Arael she loses her abilty to synch with an Eva, and loses that fire inside of her. The scene in End of Evangelion where she got her ability to operate an Eva back (only when being fired on by an entire army and she flew into a rage) just reenforced that. From a fanboy perspective, Unit 02 taking on most of the JSDF, and pretty much trashing an entire army was just a cool scene.

I always though it a most ironic weapon, bringing your opponent tranquility and true inner peace.

And do I really need to say what stopping Tabris costs them?
Really creepy scene. The look on Tabris face there before he's killed, and the emotional cost. Eva certainly was a highly unconventional Mecha show.

Yeah, each Angel was a specific test for humanity, through the pilots by proxy, to see if they are worthy of something greater, from Sachiel (Shinji having the bravery to actually fight an Angel), Israfel (Shinji and Asuka have to learn to work together), to Tabris (Shinji having to kill his best friend to save mankind).

I second the idea of a battletech movie... the intro's to some of the battletech computer games were very nice. Expcially the one where the guy in a Vulture gets pounded on majorly by several other mechs including I belive a Nova and an Uziel I think (that one was nice cause they dident rehash the almost cliche timberwolf/madcat and Atlas stuff). My biggest worry would be that it would crash and burn like the Wing Commander movie did. That or that they tried to do another 'cartoon' version.

Meh. You can get the best special effects. But it still boils down to the story and screenplay.

I don't think there could be as much suckage in another movie like there was for the Wing Commander movie. Of course, I LOVED the game series, so that movie realy hurt.
