Couple of General Druid Question

It still leaves holes in the rules, because the bat's Blindsight is listed as (Ex), even though that's how they friggen see. Same with the snake's constriction - does that count as his natural weaponry? If not, why not? Its not like the snake has to learn to constrict, its how his body was made! And its not a magical or pseudo-magical ability like Troll Regeneration. I really think they should have made this explicit.

Actually, if I woke up as a snake Kafka-style, I wouldn't have the first idea how to constrict. I imagine it's something a snake does through instinct, an instinct which the druid--keeping his own mind--would not have.

Regarding items, it was my understanding that any item that the new form can't wear, merges with the new form and becomes inoperative. So if you change into a whale most all of your equipment will cease to function, while if you change into an ape most of your equipment will merely alter in size to fit your new, but still roughly humanoid, self. The one exception to this being the Wilding Clasp. Has this changed? I suppose I should check out that link. :p

I'd like to know, too...that's probably the biggest difference of opinion in my group about my Wildshape-happy Druid right now, and if WotC has definately stated that the Con change DOES affect hit points I'd really like to know.

Look here:

That has messed up the whole polymorph spell chain...(OK, it was messed up before, but now the Sage brings some new rules into the game!)...nice!

We're using Wild Shape from Masters of the Wild. Works fine!

Polymorph gives you extraordinary attacks

FRom Polymorph desription 3.5 SRD:

...The subject gains the Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution scores of the new form but retains its own Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. It also gains all extraordinary special attacks possessed by the form but does not gain the extraordinary special qualities possessed by the new form or any supernatural or spell-like abilities...

While the question on Blindsense is a good one, there is no question on special attacks like Constrict. Constrict is not listed as a special quality but as a special attack.
