Cover from the Ride skill

Negating one hit per round is helpful, but when the sky rains arrows . . .
Maybe I have it wrong, but the SRD says (my emphasis):
Cover
You can react instantly to drop down and hang alongside your mount, using it as cover. You can’t attack or cast spells while using your mount as cover. If you fail your Ride check, you don’t get the cover benefit. This usage does not take an action.
This doesn't seem to limit to only one attack per round.....

He's referring to the limit on the use of the Mounted Combat feat. See below.

Mounted Combat [General]
Prerequisite: Ride 1 rank.
Benefit: Once per round when your mount is hit in combat, you may attempt a Ride check (as a reaction) to negate the hit. The hit is negated if your Ride check result is greater than the opponent's attack roll. (Essentially, the Ride check result becomes the mount's Armor Class if it's higher than the mount's regular AC.)
Special: A fighter may select Mounted Combat as one of his fighter bonus feats.

You know, it's amazing how many little bonuses there are to fighting mounted that I bet even a lot of mounted fighters overlook. A constant +4 to AC (assuming you make the ride checks) for the cost of giving up AoOs seems well worth it.

It's this potential for abuse (among others) that has secured the use of the "Striking Cover" variant rule in all games I run. :p
