Larry Elmore and Erol Otus are for me the very definition of D&D art, despite their obvious stylistic differences. It's good to see more of Larry's work - I just wonder what happened to Erol?

Mmm more Elmore. I like. Although the brunette reminds me of that girl from "That 70's Show". Mila Kunis? I think that's her name anyway.

I thought the exact same thing.

Anyway, I dig Elmore's style for the most part, but I hate scantily clad fantasy females.

He works for this computer game company called Toys for Bob here in Novato, California. One of my players works with him.

I got to meet him at a picnic at the beach.

Cool guy.

That pretty much sums up my views. Erol is da' man!

I tend to like Elmore's models, but I have an issue with the lack of realism in armor. I like Lockwood's elven chain in the 3.5 which combines the best of both IMHO.

Nothing worse than dated cheese. I never liked his work either, not even in his prime. I'd like to see him experiment a little. Try a new palette of colors or use some new models, maybe?

I'd like to see Dragon cover art that is a little more intriguing. I'd like to display my dragon cover to strangers and have them say, "My, what is that? That is completely unexpected as a choice of cover art for a periodical of that genre. I am curious, what is it about? May I read it?".
Would you like to make love to it, because I can leave you two alone? :p

AFAIC, Elmore should keep doing what he is doing, because I love his works, which is something I can identify right off the bat, very much like Wayne "WAR" Reynolds' (something about those brows and the shading right over them).

If I want to see something different, I'll just see a different artist's works.
