As for how he did it -- he's got good SR against the spells they tryed to hit him with (one of them was a 14th level sorcerer, another was a cleric), and he was doing a large amount of damage/round, so it isn't like the cleric or the sorcerer stood up for many rounds.

You had a cleric and a sorcerer who let a fighter-type actually get in melee with them? Alas, what fools these DMs be!

I know, I know. We assalted the temple. We broke down in the door -- and my Greater Command (only thing i got to do, so I'm mentioning it a lot) was to tell them to "Kneel Before the Lord!". Most of them succeeded on the save.

But more importantly, the big demon guy was blocking the line of sight of the sorcerer -- and the sorcerer teleported to right behind my cleric! I was going to kick his ass, but then I was very, very dead.

So as for why the cleric was within melee range, its because the temple wasn't very big -- so they were all in one room. Hard not to be in melee range when the forsaker is nearly naked while the cleric is in full plate.

Oh, and the GM has no tactical ability whatsoever. I was really proud of him for killing me.

Sorry, my mistake. I thought the reference was to the Frenzied Berserker, not the Forsaker. Yes, I know - I shouldn't post right before going to bed
