Good lord, why would you have three characters pick up the same item creation feat? You can work together on these things. Have the other guys take Craft Staff or something.

I always liked altering other magic items (like rods or rings) into wondrous items with the same effect. That way you don't have to take extra feats to make those other items. Instead of a ring of protection, make an amulet of protection. Instead of an immovable rod, make immovable boots. Sure, uncustomary space limitations cost 50% more, but now you've got spare feats!

Also, use contingency to add contingent effects to items.

Ditto Hella, though. Don't double up on the item creation feats unless you really need to (although if you're going to double up on any of them, Craft Wondrous Item would definitely be at the top of the list).

Wouldn't it be awesome to have a feat called Craft Wondrous Idea? Great for getting past those annoying puzzles. Never be caught without a cunning plan.

I think I know a couple of people with that feat.

At least in the context of D&D.

the reason we all took it was a house rule thing. In order for us to work together on an item we all had to have the feat. otherwise only the wizard would have taken it. One of the characters now has a hairtie of deathward by the way... are there any good stackable spells that you would suggest? Since we have just about all of the spells up to 7th lvl available to us, then we should be able to do some interesting stuff...
