Crawling rate

How far can a character crawl as a standard move? This is something that I have not been able to find in the PHB, DMG or MM.

I don't think there are any. I'd say around 1/4 your normal move and even that might be too much.

When a character gets at 0 hit points the character can only do partial actions. So in effect a character can do only a single move action. Since I always imagined a character at 0 hp to be limited to 'crawling', I think that would be the crawling speed.

Crawling strikes me as similar to climbing, without the need for any ability checks. Thus, you can crawl at half your speed with a full-round action and at one quarter your speed with a move equivalent action. If you had a speed of 20 feet, you could crawl 5 feet and fire a crossbow. Or you could just crawl 10 feet.
