Crazy/cool names of real-world places

My thread on "Elf School" gets shunted to the Non-RPG specific Forums/The Hive: New Year's Off Topic Threadapalooza! , and yet this topic about "real world - funny place names" gets to stay here? At least a topic on Elves is *related* to RPGs.

And browsing through The Times Atlas the other day, I noticed that New Jersey is filled with eggs. Little Egg Inlet, Great Egg Harbour Inlet, Egg Harbour City (small and 10km (and 2 towns) from the nearest ocean), and the lonely Egg Island Point (which has no discernible island anywhere nearby). They're all over the place, up to a hundred kilometers apart. It just sounds... odd.

FYI,
There is a Little and Great Egg River that empty into the Little Egg Harbour. Those rivers are 40ish miles longs. The towns are along the rivers.
