Creating Illusions: Olfactory Aspects?

Looking at another old thread (on creating Illusions)...

I wonder if any spells allow olfactory or other sensory effects...seems like a common easy illusion to make would be a fire off in some tactical direction, and that the smell of smoke along with it might make it more convincing

or say a fountain of ale that actually tastes like ale

or suddenly the dungeon walls look and feel like fur (my campaign has a practical joker gnome illusionist with a sense of the absurd)

Wizards had a first level Drd/Wiz/Rgr spell that hides the subject's scent. Invisibility for the nose. I don't remember for certain what it was called, maybe Hide Scent.

I have to agree that some illusions just don't work without an olfactory component: ghouls, otyughs, burning flesh, fresh banquets, flowers.

Then again, just as the CBoEM lists a glamour spell to make ugly mages attractive, so too might an illusory scent be quite marketable in any community, but especially in those where hygiene is lacking.

I allow a feat called Lifelike Illusions to my players. It allows them to customize how the sense of touch, taste and smell from the illusion interact with other creatures. A spell modified by Lifelike Illusions takes up a spell slot 1 level higher than the spells actual level.
