Creating items/artifacts in SW d20

[Stone Angel]

I was told that in the old Star Wars RPG that a Jedi/Sith had control over the lightsabre. That is making it longer, thicker anything in resulting to shape of the sabre. I was wondering if anyone has a house rule concerning this.
Also has anyone had experience w/ item creation, more powerful power crystals, armor, giant droids, giant robot ships. Any info will be appreciatted.
