Creating Magic Items/Caster level question

My other question for the day,

We're trying to craft a magical weapon. We want to add the first level wizard spell Jump to it as a Command Activation. We've gotten most of the price figured out but are stumped on one aspect of the Caster Level. Namely, the spell Jump has a very different bonus based on the Caster Level. How would that Caster Level affect the cost of the weapon's trait? I doubt getting a +30 to Jump three times a day would only cost +1,100gp.

Any help is appreciated!

Well, it's entirely up to the DM (like any "new item"). Guideline competence skill bonus is bonus squared x 100 gp. That matches exactly with existing items like Ring of Jumping (+5, CL 2), and Ring of Improved Jumping (+10, CL 7).

In 3.5 jump +30 ought to be about 90,000 gp by thosee guidelines.
In 3.0 the Ring of Jumping +30 cost only 2,000 gp.

We had considered the guidelines for magical skill bonuses and the Ring of Jumping but the ring provides the bonus continually. The spells only allows it for 1 min/CL, which is a big difference. I was hoping to find something that would help to offset that difference.
