Creative Exercise - The City

In event of actual invasion by the forces of evil, each ward and district can be walled off, to contain the minions of the demons, and whatever other demons cannot fly around them.

However, it is beleived by some that the lower class districts are not as well protected as they should be

One of the few large temples in the city is the Vallencian Basilica of Saint Kaladnu, a favorite of many gnomes and a few other folk. Saint Kaladnu was a gnome who, legend says, worked hard all his life as an architect and then, when his city was invaded by demons, fought to protect his buildings and his people, against all odds. He is said to have ascended after dying of a demon-inflicted wound, but not until after he had saved his neighborhood from demons. Saint Kaladnu is a patron of architects, engineers, workers, militiamen, and gnomes in general, and his Basilica in the city (one of many Basilicas of the saint) is situated in the Throne Ward with its beautiful, slim, but sturdy towers, an architectural pride of the priesthood.

Saint Kaladnu's faith is lawful good, and clerics of the faith choose their domains from Earth, Law, and Protection.

Many of the Dwarves have become suspicious of the other races as of late and have begun creating a secret milita force, and arming themselves with some of the most outragous weaponary imaginable. They have also begun working on secret tunnels and holes inthe cliff face where they can strike out at any point within the city or out of its protective/restrictive walls.

This has resulted in a noticeable schism among the dwarves of Vallencia and its region, with the more xenophobic members of the race retreating further underground, literally and otherwise, and the more moderate members of the race seeking to bridge the growing divide. A vocal member of the moderates is the Xonnite Bishop Jager Flamehammer. At the moment, the extremists are in minority, but as more dwarves begin to feel marginalised the larger the ranks of the xenophobic extremists grow. The highly charismatic leader of this splinter group is Fannith Shadowsteel, a female dwarf Fighter-Rogue with a nasty attitude. She hates anyone who is non-dwarven whether or not there is basis for her ill feelings.

There are a bunch of elven knights in the city who currently have a good time, getting drunk, singing pretty well and chasing members of the opposite sex.

The High Ward is positioned high alongside the waterfall and contains most of the mines, markets, and middle-class residences. It consists mostly of tunnels, caverns, and platforms, with very few towers. The High Ward has 26 levels, each anywhere from 5 to 20 feet apart, with the shortest levels containing dwarven, gnomish, and halfling residential districts. Little smelting and forging goes on here, as mined ore mostly gets sent down to the Bellows District below in the Old Ward, though the Soots manage to get a small amount of that business too.

Well..it was fun, then got munckinized somewhere along the way
I can't tell if it was when the demons entered the scene or when the city was built along the edge of the falls a la Cauldron. Or when the towers & bridges showed up a la Sharn.

....Or maybe it was when it transformed into Bluffside....hmmm...

It happens in a cooperative work that some stuff shows up you don´t like.
Personally I have a problem with the volatile atmosphere. It seems that Vallencia is prone to a major uprising.
Ah yes and the stuff about the 200 10 to 15th level guys. Probably got their level from killing their 300 comrades in training. That´s a new form of XP vampirism. :D

Well it can happen in a cooperative exercise.
