OK, I see it now. Maybe Shade wanted to add my name to the third paragraph, since I advocated to get rid of the Leadership feat, too, and then added it to the second paragraph where he agreed with PJ's ideas instead.

OK soladarin's ECL calc came out with an LA of +6 and ECL of +26.

No way is it that low. I say +8 at least as she is good but not as bad ass as the mage one.

Plus her SR is still a 12!?!?!?! Is that a typo??

it was never meant to be very high – only a 5% in 2E. it was only going to work a small percentage of the time, I mean that roll would be 1 out of 20. as it was never a major feature of the original version, I don’t think it should be 25 now or something. I’d be willing to raise it a bit, but I don’t think I should go higher than 15.

the elder orb is a whole different ball of wax, it get spells and abilities that far outweigh the hive mother. The hive mother is a breeder and overlord and does not have those neat abilities that the elder orb does.

it was never meant to be very high – only a 5% in 2E. it was only going to work a small percentage of the time, I mean that roll would be 1 out of 20. as it was never a major feature of the original version, I don’t think it should be 25 now or something.
