D&D 3E/3.5 Creature Catalog 3.5 Overhaul Project

I’m going to do this:

Skills: *A jor has a +6 racial bonus on Hide, Listen, Move Silently, and Spot checks in any marsh terrain.

It's not the "elite array" you're thinking of, probably. The MM has a "nonelite array" for common mook monsters, like 1st level goblin and orc warriors. But since the jor has racial hit dice, I wouldn't suggest using the array (lizardfolk don't use it as written, for example). But you could if you so wished, as long as a "jors as characters" section is added, complete with their actual racial modifiers.

Demiurge out.

I think there ought to be a “Jor as Characters” section regardless of what array we use if any – and I guess we don’t need to use an array. :)

JORS AS CHARACTERS
A jor’s favored class is rogue, and jor leaders tend to be rogue/assassins.

Jor characters possess the following racial traits.

- +6 Strength, +4 Constitution, -2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma.
- Medium size.
- A jor's base land speed is 30 feet.
- Darkvision out to 60 feet.
- Racial Hit Dice: A jor begins begins with two levels of humanoid, which provide 2d8 Hit Dice, a base attack bonus of +1, and base saving throw bonuses of Fort +3, Ref +0, and Will +0. A jor has a +4 racial bonus on saves against poison.
- Racial Skills: A jor's humanoid levels give it skill points equal to 5 x (2 + Int modifier). Its class skills are Disguise, Hide, and Move Silently. *A jor has a +6 racial bonus on Hide, Listen, Move Silently, and Spot checks in any marsh terrain.
- Racial Feats: A jor's humanoid levels give it one feat.
- Special Attacks (see above): Poison Use, Sneak Attack.
- Special Qualities (see above): Light Sensitivity.
- Automatic Languages: Common, Orc. Bonus Languages:.
- Favored Class: Rogue.
- Level Adjustment +1.

Lookin' good so far.

I think the LA should be more like +2, since it has unbalanced ability scores and bonuses to four skills (albeit in certain situations).

Cool.

Add "+1d6" to sneak attack on the SA line. (This seems to be the standard nowadays).

Did you include the armor check penalties for Hide and Move Silently?

For the Org line, should we replace things like "master jor" with "Xth-level assassin"?

Add "Jors speak Orc and Common" to the flavor text.

We should probably figure out the cost of Jor poison so we can determine what's a reasonable amount for them to carry.

no… :( -5 then including the shield – good thing we have that racial bonus. ;) and I guess when they want to be really sneaky, they wear sneakier armor. ;)

could we do both?

OK, how do we do that? :) they make it themselves, I’m sure.
