D&D 3E/3.5 Creature Catalog 3.5 Overhaul Project

You can have both a title and level in the organization line, ala master jor (5th level rogue/2nd level assassin), or whatever.

Demiurge out.

no… :( -5 then including the shield – good thing we have that racial bonus. ;) and I guess when they want to be really sneaky, they wear sneakier armor. ;)

Good thing, that. ;)

could we do both?

What Demiurge said.

OK, how do we do that? :) they make it themselves, I’m sure.

Ahh, nevermind. I've never actually looked at the drow entry in the MM (it's enough other places in my FR books, of course). It looks like we can just do like the drow and go with 1d4-1 doses since it is comparable.

Oh man, given that block, I don’t know that I want to go to all the trouble of figuring out all the class levels and such… it’s long enough already! :)

Organization: Gang (3-12), squad (11-20 plus 2 3rd-level sergeants and 1 3rd-level leader), band (30-60 plus 1d4 3rd-level bodyguards plus 1 3rd-level subcheif plus 1 4th-level master jor), or tribe (20-200 plus 100% females and 150% noncombatant young plus 4d4 3rd-level bodyguards and 12-15 3rd-level leaders and 2 3rd-level subcheifs and 1d6 4th-level master jors and 1 4th-level chief)

You could list something in the Jor as Characters section instead, stating something like bodyguards are Xth-level rogue/assassins, subchiefs are Xth-level rogue/assassins, and master jors are Xth-level assassins.

Now, before I go nuts on determining levels for all of these guys, have a look at the orc, on which, of course, I based much of the jor. Here we have “3rd-level sergeants”, “5th-level lieutenants”, and “7th-level captains” and I don’t hear anyone complaining about that. ;)

Sounds good to me. Probably should give some of the highest ranked ones levels in assassin to keep with the original flavor of these guys.

Works for me. ;)
