Re: Printable CC

I just sent off the pdf to Scott. It is up to Him.

So does this mean the B&W no gradient version of the CC pdf is now available? I found no mention of this on the CC site. I would love to be able to print the CC out and put it in a binder where it will see more use...

Nope- no PDF compilations are on the site until we figure out how much of it is going to be in the book from Necromancer (as well as MM2 I guess).

So- once all the details are worked out, the PDFs shall return.

so then, can we take that to mean that you're looking for a list of MM2 creatures before you get the final go-ahead on what to put in the CC book? :)

I can't really say anything for various reasons. Suffice to say though, there will be no duplication. The CC is forging ahead as scheduled.

Are there still plans to put the pdf compilations back up, or has that changed? I was looking at the website today, and noticed that it said something to the effect of once details are worked out with Necromancer Games, they may return. Is it my imagination or is that less definate than it was a few weeks ago?

Well, I looked to day and lo and behold they were completely gone. It's looking less and less like they'll be back in any format. I guess those dead presidents scream pretty loud from the grave.

Its a bit insulting to imply that money is preventing there from being a compilation pdf.

I havent paid Scott to do that. His site maintenance is his business. He has said compiling the massive PDF has become too difficult with endless monster revisions and new monster additions.

And being promised one thing and getting another (some would call that deceit) is also insulting. All I'm saying is we are not fools or idiots, so please do not treat us as such.

I do not have issue with who is paying who to do what. What I have an issue with is being told that the .pdfs will be back and as it would appear, the odds of that are diminishing. Certainly, everyone is entitled to be compensated for their work. However, it does get old to have people keep up these dazzling websites full of useful resources but then, once contracts are discussed, they begin to diminish. People should not make promises they can't keep. It doesn't matter whether your a game designer, a minister, a politician, or a parent. Don't promise what can't be delivered.

As far as not being able to keep up with the revisions, that's fine. He should just put the most recent versions up and be done with it. Two-thirds of all my gaming books will never get revised by the manufacturer, so why would I care if a .pdf never does?

My decision not to post it. And my original plans were to post an updated PDF. But things change. Nothing to do with money at all, just priorities, personal issues, etc. have been keeping me busy, so the chances that there will be a PDF compilation of all the monsters is slim.

I have too many other things to do right now (such as posting a boatload of conversions that are waiting) so should a PDF compilation be forthcoming, it will be closer to the end of the year IF it does.
