I really like the Kobold Victory chart.

Except I can rarely see it being used. They are kobolds after all.

I really like the Kobold Rat Master, clever application of the rules.

Can't wait to see the looks on my players faces when I unleash a kobold horde or two on them. Picture pcs traipsing through a Hobgoblin lair, finding the jail/torture chamber, facing down the Hobgoblin Jailer and his henchmen, only to have the Jailer release his pet kobolds halfway through the fight.

Hmmm Hobgoblin Jailer Encounter Power - Let slip the hounds slaves. When first bloodied the jailer may shift3 as an immediate action and pull a hidden lever to release the kobold prisoners who form Kobold Hordes. The Kobold Hordes prefer to swarm the Characters as they are too scarred to approach any Hobgoblins.

I do find it amusing that the Rat Master is more powerful than the Chieftan (level 4 elite soldier vs level 5 soldier).

But I like how the Rat Master is handled. It does the 'guy surrounded by cloud of small creatures' very well, and in a less nasty manner than the Lamia.

I just had a brilliant idea.

Imagine kobolds (or goblins)... with FIREWORKS. Wait yeah, I find the thought way better with Paizo goblins.

It's one of those quantum things. Found alone it's elite and more powerful to the PCs, but in the kobold tribe he loses his elite status and isn't more powerful than the Chieftain.
