Creatures By Poll - An experiment in monster creation (READ THIS before you vote!)

BOZ on vacation!

ok, this is it for me. i won't be checking the message boards again before the 12th of july. i'm heading off to new york state in about 24 hours, so you all better be good while i'm away.

when i get back, the polls will have elapsed, and i will move things on to their next step sometime that weekend. the # of monsters poll is strongly in favor of starting out with one monster. this will keep things easy as we work out the first of these badboys, and the poll also indicates that you would like to see 2 or 3 in all (or many many, depending on how you look at it), so we'll work on the other monsters after the first one is completed.
as it is, we're looking at a probable lawful evil, large magical beast with either 5-7 or 11-13 hit dice. given the way this thing continues to change hands, there's no good reason to assume it will stay that way by the end of next week. SO, keep an open mind to what it will wind up being, and i'll figure out how to proceed when i get back. ta-ta for now all, have a good week.

ok, looks like the polls went nicely. the only surprise i saw was that LE was nowhere near the forerunner it had been when i left. SO, since size and alignment came up as ties, i need a quick tie-breaker before moving on. i'll post some new instructions later today after i see some voting going on. keep in mind as you vote; whichever is not used for the first creature will be used for our second monster, an Outsider.
but for sure, it looks like our first creature is going to be a Magical Beast with 5-7 Hit Dice.
