Creatures For The Crypt

Oh, are they listed as plain "lizardfolk"? That would explain why I didn't see them when searching for "Malpheggi."

The Dragon #318 article calls them "Malpheggi Lizardfolk" a couple of times at the start and then "lizardfolk" for the rest of the article.

Mechanically they're ordinary lizardfolk - the monster class ends up with identical stats to an SRD lizardfolk.

The Children of Ka are only called "Malpheggi Lizardfolk" 'cause they live in the Malpheggi swamp.

Anyway, we don't really have any way of knowing what the agreement with WotC is, as BOZ doesn't recall it and Scott Greene has never answered my questions about it. Frankly, I think WotC is pretty much ignoring the CC, so I wouldn't worry too much one way or the other. I don't think BOZ or Shade ever moved any critters to the crypt.

I concur -- I don't recall anyone moving anything into the Crypt in all the years I've been visiting the CC forums.

So nobody has any idea what the deal is?

In that case I'll go along with you in not bothering about it.

Then regardless of our general policy, I'd argue that the CC conversion is a different critter.

Nobody I can get an answer from, anyway. I think you have the right idea about moving things, but we try to avoid converting things that have been converted as it is. And I don't think that WotC converted too many more old critters to 3.5e in their later books either.
