Credit Card Hassles

I don't know what part of the world you are from, but in the UK Egg credit cards are pretty good. I've had one for years, and my only complaint is that the cashback has dropped from 1% to 0.1% over the years (although the same has happened with all cashback credit cards over here). Customer service has been fine: the few problems/queries I have had have all been addressed promptly.

The Halifax One card (no relation) looks pretty good, but I can't get one as my credit rating is in the toilet at the moment. If I didn't already have my Egg card, I probably couldn't get that now either.

I currently have a couple of credit cards. One I got when I started college. It was toted as a "student visa card". It was nice because the limit was really low. But, I'm now up to a 4k credit limit on the card and it's pretty well maxed out. The intrest on it sucks and I feel like I'm never gonna get it paid off. Haven't used their customer service as I spend the money and make the payment every month.

The other card I have is an Amazon Chase credit card. It's not too bad. Interest rates are kind of high, but if I'd quit spending on it, I'd have it paid off in a few years. Also haven't used their customer service.

I don't think there is such a thing as a "good" credit card. I'm playing with the idea of cutting up my two credit cards and only using my debit card from now on.
