I mean it's Critical Role DMed by Brennan so yes, absolutely. Lots of intrigue and some spooky stuff afoot.

Lots of setting information being thrown at you, and as someone who loved that part of Dragon Age with trying to see how things fit together with in-game fact and fiction, this campaign is off to a great start.

I loved it! Emotionally intense, plenty of intrigue. No combat this episode, but I do feel like combat tends to be the least interesting part of most Actual Plays anyway. There is a lot of lore coming at you pretty fast, but personally I didn’t think it was too much to follow. I’d say give it a watch, see what you think. No huge loss if it ends up not being to your liking.

Not a criticism of your preferences or anything, but i really like watching Mercer run CR combats. Ill watch clips of their jokes and emotional moments all day, but I really love to deep dive the fights (especially after watching how they did it in the animated series).

Totally understandable! To be clear, I did absolutely intend “no combat in this episode” as a negative. Combat being a bit less interesting to watch (for me) was just to say that personally I found it a relatively small negative.
