Yes.

Constant modifiers (like +N from smite) are multiplied. Bonus dice (like +1d6 from a flaming weapon) are not multiplied.

This is, in fact, what did in the Barbarian/Cleric in my party last week.

One measly crit from a Fiendish Gargantuan Monstrous Spider with Smite Good, and 81 pts of damage later - one corpse, two pieces, no waiting.

The multiplier effect is the main reason paladins keep showing up in ye olde smackdown threads. Any constant modifier is ripe for multiplication at the hands of a good powergamer.

This is also the reason why the Destruction Domain is so popular for combat-oriented Clerics. True, the attack bonus is limited to +4 but the damage increase is 1/level and it's non-alignment specific. Combine this with the Extra Smite feat and you've got quite a potent weapon.

The question should have been obvious after all the "does Power Attack multiply?" threads. Good to know before the battle I had planned. I had intended the henchmen of the BBEG to be distractions, but now I'm looking at one certain PC death at least. I may have to rethink the scenario a bit.

Easy solution: take away the guy's Power Critical. It's a silly feat anyway, IMO.
