Critically confirming crits

Another question for the DMs, what are the consequences of crit missing with a natural weapon? It can't be accidently dropped, nor flung at an ally.

In our campaign, a natural 1 on an attack roll forces a REF save by the attacker, vs DC20:
20+ = No added bad effect, attack missed.
11-20 = Caught Flat-footed (no DEX bonus to AC) and loss of next action (a move or attack)
1-10 = Critical Fumble: Caught Flat-footed, loss of actions for one full round

Although I like the idea above of provoking a free AoO.

And to go back to the OP, when we make a crit-determination roll, if the 2nd roll is also in the crit threat range, the attack does x3 instead of x2.
