This is the thread for descriptions of what's obvious about your character. Ya know, physical description, manerisms, accent, obvious talents, etc.

I'll start them, and I hope others do as well, I like to know who I'm talking to.

I assume we'll learn each other's names soon, so I'll post mine.

Glaucon is a 6 foot 2 inch, 178 pound Greek man. He has short, spiky, dark brown hair with long, thin sideburns, dark brown eyes, and somewhat thick eyebrows. He has a fairly narrow face, but is very attractive. His skin is a dark olive color, and he is well muscled, but lithe, and heavily tattooed. He is left handed. His tattoos consist of a sea serpent coiled around his left arm, with the tail on the back of his hand, and the head biting into his neck. There is tattooed blood from the serpent’s bite. Glaucon has a half naked Greek dancing woman tattooed on his left pectoral. His back is dominated by a tattoo of the Kraken attacking a ship, with an inscription in Greek below reading: "Praise Poseidon, not me". His right arm is bare. He wears a red silk headband, loose red silk pants, and a wide sash. There is a scabarded curved sword through his sash, as well as a pouch and a map case. When dressed for battle, he wears boiled leather armor fashioned to look like his muscles that leaves his left arm free. His armor is lacquered with his Kraken tattoo on the back, and the naked lady on the front. He also wears a buckler on his right arm. If on an overland voyage, he wears his armor, and his backpack and bow.

Glaucon walks with a flowing stride, but it does not quite conceal a deadly grace. He speaks with a slight Greek accent, but also reveals alternate pronunciations, perhaps brought about by frequent travel. He has a slightly abrupt manner; and makes quick, but graceful, gestures. He tends to smile alot, with his normal facial features ranging from a grimace to an all out grin to a smirk. Glaucon saves his best smiles for the ladies.

Khenemetsobek; Meaning one who is joined with Sobek, in Ancient Egyptian, stands at five foot five and weighs roughly one hundred and fifty pounds. His skin is a dark bronze showing many hours spent beneath the blistering Egyptian sun. He is clad in a shendyt (Kilt/Skirt) made of crocodile skin. He has sandals on his feet and a circlet of peacock feathers around his shaved head. His scalp is heavily tattooed in a dark green in a mosaic of river scenes. Crocodiles swimming in a reed filled river; A man's body with a head of a crocodile holding both Ankh and Spear; several pictures showing boats, hippopotamuses, and other river scenes. A medallion emblazoned with a horned crocodile hangs from around his neck. A large steel ankh hangs on a cord belt. In hands, often used as a walking stick, he holds a reed spear topped with a giant sharply pointed tooth. He carries a faint odor of low tide although it is heavily masked by the smell of herbs. His actions and sentences seem to be well rehearsed and many would see him as disinterested; merely going through the motions.

Ecgthow Ranulfson

Ecgthow is a very tall (6'5") Norseman. He is well muscled, but his height hides his great strength, making him look slim. He has stormy gray eyes that grow absolutely frightening when engaged in battle.

He keeps his full beard trimmed and combed. It is flecked prematurely with gray as are his temples. The hair on his head he wears just past shoulder length, and it is slightly curly and dark brown.

He moves with a grace that is suprising in such a large man, often catching opponents off guard by striking first and very hard.

Ecgthow dresses in drab colors; blacks, browns and the occasional subdued green. He wears a very fine chain armor under his breeches, tunic, high leather boots and gray traveler's cloak. His only adornment is a thick silver torque worn about the neck.

A broadsword rests on his left hip, while the handles of several axes jut from his backpack. He also has a shortbow and a quiver of arrows on his back while traveling.

**If you have seen the 13th Warrior. Ecgthow looks just like one of the Vikings in there, and is based on him**

Ehldannis is slight and bookish in appearance and only stands a little over 5' tall. He has strong angular features and pale blue eyes which give him a mysterious look, but despite his elven blood he is more awkward than attractive. He is typically dressed in his wizards robes and keeps himself meticulously clean and well tended.

Before saying anything he seems to consider his words carefully, yet despite his caution it is often quite easy to see what he is thinking as raw emotions play over his face.

He carries no apparent weapons, just a simple belt knife.

Octar is a strange combination of looks. In physique, he would be right at home among a charge of Hun horsemen; in manner, style of clothing, and grooming he is an exemplar of Roman military precision. He is tall and muscular at just under six feet, possesing brown hair and blue eyes. He dresses very similar to a Roman leigonare and has close-cut hair. He also has similar armaments- long spear and sword. Idiosyncratically, he carries a bow.

Octar has an open, honest face that never appears to hide anything. He is polite, but untutored in the social graces. He also reveals his unworldliness in his actions- sights that might be commonplace to more expierience travellers draw his stare.

Nathaniel wears a well-made monastic garb, although its bleached white color indicates no particular faith, and covers this with some well-kept -- or at least under-used -- studded leather armor. While not greatly handsome, his often shining personality lends him certain attractive qualities, at least as much as can be expected for such a youth. He keeps his deep brown hair long and untrimmed, tied back away from his face, and sports a scraggly and incomplete beard that wires its way out from his chin, rarely seeming well-kept.

He seems generally hygenic and fit. Although his loose garments reveal little, he does to be fairly well-muscled, even if not perfectly toned. He seems to travel light: He keeps only his weapons -- a longsword and a well-stocked shortbow -- and armor -- the aforementioned studded leather, and a small round buckler -- plus two small belt pouches. These, you find soon, are too shallow to keep many secrets: In his left he keeps his journal, along with ink and pen, while to right one holds his coin -- seeming rather near empty at the moment.

From his donkey (and now hopefully on Octar's horse, or stowed away somewhere) come a tent, bedroll, and two weeks worth of food, salted lamb and flatbreads mostly. Given how easily he seems to heft this about in the donkey's absence, you might wonder if he ever really needed the pack animal at all.

Aboard the Ship: Khen is dressed in a thick and heavy white robe to protect himself from the chill. A half an inch boarder lines the entire robe. (The very edges of the robe; around the hood; around his feet; and around his hands) The boarder is seems to be a river bank; blue water with reeds growing from it. His crocodile medallion hangs around his neck. A small wooden tube, three netted pouches each holding a small plain glass container (One is full of a black liquid the other two are full of a clear liquid), an under filled coin pouch, a heavy Ankh golden in color with chipping paint all are attached to a cord belt around his waste. In one hand he carries a spear made of reed pointed with a large animal tooth; Attached to the spear are several pieces of cloth wrapped in such a way that they hold a few of his goods (Like a hobo!). Strapped to the spear is another reed staff coiled in a long thin line. In his other hand would be a bird cage with a single pigeon inside.

Dhormuin stands just above 4 foot long, but nearly just as wide. The hair on the back of his head is trimmed short, while his beard is allowed to grow. He's dressed in sturdy brown clothing, covered by a vest of chain. A silver disk with a silver hammer in front of it decorates his chest, held by a silver chain around his neck. A large shield containing a drawing of that same disk and hammer and a heavy axe bear his sides. His brown eyes lie deep in his tanned face, his big nose clearly appearent in the center.

Dhormuin appears as a restless young dwarf, eager to get to action. He's taking a lot of efford trying to control himself and take things at a slower pace than simply rushing in. When not overly thrilled to get into action, Dhormuin tries to be polite.

Mendicus

Mendicus is a man of average height, weight and appearence. He dresses in simple, but immaculate clothes, speaks softly and rarely, and has a very forgetable face. (So forgettable, that even the DM often forgets about him!)

Mendicus generally wears leather armor, a pouch on his belt, and a short sword. When traveling he also carries a backpack, and a light crossbow.
Mendicus is very polite and seems very dedicated to Brioc, whom he has known since childhood. He currently (8/20 real time) is staying in the Sevastopol Inn, and caring for the sick party members.
