Crow familiar + magic item Smackdown idea request!

Alright, its time for a whole new kind of smackdown!

I just had an epiphany of sorts in another thread: Crows can use command words (Duh! ). Armed with this knowledge, what do you think would be the best magic items to equip an intelligent talking bird with?

I encourage people to go nuts with this. My own first idea was a command word item that casts Wail of the Banshee a few times per day. That would certainly be quite a suprise to the local peasant boys who next decide to throw some rocks at him.

However, more realistic ideas would also be useful since I'm currently not that high level and have less than half of my DMG guideline for PC wealth. Specifically, I'm a level 6 Necromancer, opposition school is Evocation, and I have Craft Wondrous Item and Craft Arms and Armor feats.

One idea I've had for my raven familiar is to give it a Ring of the Ram. That way it can knock people back if they are near me or approach, and I can still cast spells. I'll have to try this out sometime.

Why not just an item that can cast animate dead 2-3 times per day? Ever seen the movie "The crow"? It could just sit in a nearby tree on ledge out of reach and animate all the fallen enemies whenever it looks like your being threatened. It is only a 3rd level cleric spell, so you would need to get the help of your friendly evil priest or wait till you were about nineth level.

Alternately some ideas with a cool necromancer type flavour could be Vampiric Touch or Ghoul touch (picturing the crow flying in an raking an enemies face), or Scare or Cause Fear (hopping and flapping onimously while making a VERY freaky cawing). Just look at your available spells and choose one really. Enchant a fine bracelet that the crow could hang around its neck.

Or levitate, when you get in trouble the crow flies and grabs you, amazingly lifting you out of range and flies away with you.
