The generally mocking attitude towards Lifetime, has nothing to do with it being "Women's programing". It's that Lifetime's programing seems to ONLY show men as evil, violent, selfish, sex obsessed monsters and believe it or not most men don't appreciate being depicted only as monsters.
You'll notice that nobody is picking on Oxygen another "Women's Programing" channel.[/snip]
Or WE - Women's Entertainment. From the few times I've caught Oxygen it seemed a fine network for certain kind of woman (I'm not going to claim all women like that stuff). Lifetime I do have issues with. My mom watches it and I argue how men are always the villians. I challenge anyone to find a program on Lifetime or Lifetime movies that portrays a man as normal, loving husband (or friend) and not psycho, cheating, or insanely jealous. I'm sure there's one, but small beans compared to the other tripe.
