First Post
May 7, 2003– Cryptosnark Games is pleased to announce its May, 2003 release schedule of support material for *Deeds Not Words Revision 1.1* as well as Cryptosnark's growing line of d20 fantasy material! Each May release will also have a hidden riddle or puzzle that will win $10 for the first person to solve it, in conjunction with Cryptosnark's *Deeds Not Words* Mega-Contest!
On Friday, May 9, put a knife to your players' throats with:
Killers
An NPC Threat Sourcebook for fantasy d20
Featuring Illustrations by Michael Yatskar
CSD06: 45+ pages in PDF format
$6.00
*Killers* is a collection of memorable NPC assassins, murderers, bandits, hired thugs, and other miscreants for use with any fantasy d20 campaign, featuring 30 NPCs of various races, sexes, and murderous habits, each with complete stat blocks and background stories in the usual obsessively thorough Cryptosnark fashion. Each NPC is also given a portrait by Michael Yatskar. *Killers* also offers 4 new spells, a new race, a new monster, a new minor god and his attendant cult, 14 unique new magic items, and 10 new poisons, as well as other juicy details mingled with the cold, hard facts!
On Wednesday, May 14, look out for:
Laying the Smack Down! Revision 1.1
A Combat Sourcebook for *Deeds Not Words Revision 1.1*
Featuring Illustrations by Clarence Harrison and Jason Lego
CSD02: 90+ pages in PDF format
$6.50
Packed with even more feats, fighting styles, optional d20 combat rules, injury systems, and new weapons than its predecessor, *Laying the Smack Down! Revision 1.1* also includes story seeds, NPCs, and background information for two worldwide fighting organizations. Wrestle super-powered opponents on pay-per-view television in the Unlimited Mayhem Federation, or face off against superhuman kumite fighters in the illicit worldwide Shadow Tournament. More than 60 pregenerated NPC opponents (10 more than before) of all classes and power levels are also provided!
On Friday, May 23, keep an eye peeled for:
Bold Costumes, Black Hearts Revision 1.1
A Super-Villain Sourcebook for *Deeds Not Words Revision 1.1*
Featuring Illustrations by Jason Lego
CSD04: 120+ pages in PDF format
$8.50
The original *Bold Costumes, Black Hearts* attracted quite a following with its 65 original villains, each with full stats, modus operandi, and background story. BCBH Revision 1.1 will add an additional *twenty* villains to the mix, for a grand total of 85. It will also contain revised villain classes and character complications, as well as expanded versions of the Goonmaker and the Random Ninja Generator!
Finally, on Friday, May 30, did deep into
Imprimo Exulto ("First In, Last Out")
A Fantasy Special Forces Sourcebook for the d20 System
Featuring Illustrations by Jason Lego
CSD07: 120+ pages in PDF format
$8.50
Cryptosnark is extremely pleased to offer *Imprimo Exulto,* a unique and exhaustive sourcebook on a topic that has fascinated its author since childhood. *Imprimo Exulto* covers the concept of military special forces in fantasy settings with exhaustive attention to detail, and includes lengthy discussions on where special forces come from, how they're sustained, how they cooperate (and conflict) with more traditional chains of command, and how their applicants are trained for their unique missions.
*Imprimo Exulto* includes 17 prestige classes (each presented with a 10-level and a 5-level version), a multitude of clever gadgets and items, and large sections on special forces tactics and training, but most importantly it discusses how to rectify the "special forces" campaign model with the traditional "loot and acquire" play model of d20 fantasy. When your characters are sworn to win or die on clandestine missions requiring extreme precision and dedication, grabbing every magic item or pile of gold that crosses your path isn't a viable option. *Imprimo Exulto* offers a variety of guidelines and systems for turning the special forces lifestyle into an enjoyable campaign of any length.
