With a little more force your able to open the door. Inside is a staircase leading up into another level of this building, but this isn't the first thing to catch your eyes.

This room is drenched in blood. The walls, stairs, and floors are evenly painted in what is definitely blood. Two humans bodies lay in a pile on the ground, one's stomach over the other in the shape of a "t". Fayden identifies that both of their abdomens have been ripped open and somehow emptied.

What isn't at first apparent is that there is a third body, that was propped up against the door you came in through. This one is also completely missing the abdomen as well. However, this one still seems to have some motion to it. More than a little.

The creature goes from prone to standing during it's surprise round.

I 5 foot step to the zombie and attack it. *stab stab*

 

[Creamsteak]

Both of your stabs are successful in landing hits, dealing 4 and 3 damage respectively.

"Spike! Kill!"

I slice open the filthy abomination with my scimitar.

 

[Creamsteak]

Both you and spike succeed in your attacks, dealing 6 and 5 points of damage and destroying the undead.

Now that you are not so pressed, you both realize that it looks like all three of the humanoid corpses in the room have had their "guts" ripped out completely. Intestines and organs are clearly missing from all three.

 

[Lucidus]

I whisper, "Friend, I don't think we should stay here. Let's find a way out."

 

[Eldorian]

Are we underground, and which way does the staircase go?

 

[Creamsteak]

No and up. The arrow corresponds to the direction of the stairs.

 

[Eldorian]

I head to the east facing door on the north passage.
