Dungeons & Dragons 5E lead designer Mike Mearls' latest project combines his current and former employers--on D&D Beyond you can now access a digital exclusive product from Chaosium which brings the Cthulhu Mythos to D&D 5th Edition.

The supplement is called Cthulhu by Torchlight and includes subclasses, feats, and spells designed for 5E.

Cthulhu by Torchlight adds a new subclass to each of the character classes in the new Player’s Handbook, along with over two dozen Mythos-themed spells, a new background, and new Origin feats. For DMs, it holds over 20 horrid monsters of the Cthulhu Mythos. Rules for Passions and Dreadful Insights amplify roleplaying by putting mechanics behind your characters’ personality, while the skill challenge rules provide a framework for investigation, interaction, and other non-combat encounters.

I wonder what this was about, never updated my shipping address as requested so I might neve know.
when looking into this yesterday, I saw that he partnered with either Catalyst Games and / or Quimbley, but neither partnership seems to have produced anything. I assume the announcement would have been about that though

Catalyst has an announcement, but so far nothing came of it as far as I can tell

and whatever was planned with Quimbley seems to have unraveled by now

yeah, looks like Petersen Games was swallowed by the void / Covid shipping prices, oops. Bought a bunch of their Mythos 5e PDFs maybe two years ago, did not expect them to disappear
They were acquired, or at least semi-acquired, via some sort of deal by Quimbley's Toys and Games late last year (2024). But... now the Quimbley's website seems to have gone dark? Does anyone know what happened to their intention to fulfill past Petersen Games Kickstarters? I assume it didn't go well.

That partnership looks to have ended early this year according to a message and an email that went out to backers of their current products. Quimbley apparently still owns their Mythos RPG books property and plan to continue sales, but with their shopify website closed up, the books are basically dead in the water.

Nope. Nothing from that line is on Petersen Games' website or DTRPG.
I know you could still get the PDFs a couple of years ago, but now they've been scrubbed from the net.
Good to know because I recently seen a copy at a place that I started going to/browsing through when the opening day of Superman 2025 happened. Now I know what to get when I get paid soon.

From what I've read, some orders were fulfilled while others weren't. Cthulhu Wars went back to Petersen Games, but the Mythos RPG books did not, so Quimbley retains the sales rights. That's probably why those books got scrubbed from Sandy's website.

Regarding this supplement: since it's digital only, I would've given it 1-2 more weeks to proof-read for errors; there's a whole thread on DDB for all the grammar issues among other errors.
