Cube of Force , Gaze Attacks, and Charm Monster

Hi all,

I've got a player who's activated a cube of force using side 5, "keeps out all things." According to the description, the cube is a special kind of wall of force.

A wall of force permits gaze attacks to go through it. Does a cube of force?

I'm also not sure about mind-affecting, language-dependent spell-like abilities. Specifically, the player is facing down a pair of erinyes who are trying to use their charm monster power. Should this power also be blocked out?

The wall blocks line of effect but not line of sight. Most spells/abilities fail if there is no line of effect.

Makes sense. I'll rule that charm monster is a no go, but gaze attack will follow the statement under the wall of force spell (which doesn't really matter to the player since he's not facing that problem.)
