Culdcept Saga

Anyone playing it? What do you all think?

If you ever wanna play online, my tag's NoxiousPig.

I'm enjoying it so far... Won a 3-player game online, lost a 4-player game, and I've just finished all the elemental areas in the single player campaign.

Never played the PS2 version, but I doubt it.

The games I've played online took around 30-60 minutes each. I've only played it online twice, but it seems like people usually configure it for a faster game (i.e. smaller maps, lower goals).

Haven't played the 360 version yet (don't own or want to own an XBox), but I have invested more hours into the PS2 Culdcept than I would like to admit. My friends from high school and I still play the game when we get together--it's a great way to spend an hour, and winning cards after every game, win or lose, is icing on the cake. (I say an hour, but we have a replay saved from an epic 3-hour, 4-player match that lives on in folklore to this day.)

Does the 360 version have a story mode, or is it online only? Watching how the NPCs played Culdcept was a great help to me get started.

It does have a single player mode.

Does it have the cinematics with that creepy staff (well, sceptor) person? I liked the game, but that freaked me out for some reason.

It's actually spelled Cepter (like Culdcept), though pronounced like scepter. And I haven't seen any creepy staff person, though I don't think I'm very far into the game...

I did see some bishy "high priest" with a staff that had cards floating around its head (the staff's, not the priest's). I don't think he'd be easily described as creepy, though, unless you find bishounen guys creepy.

Here's a small picture of him. Any bigger would be dangerous to my sanity.
