Curious about something: would you play in an AD&D campaign?

All things being equal, would you be willing to play in an AD&D 1e campaign?

FWIW, I’ve never actually seen weapon v. armor, alignment languages, or psionics used in a 1e game. (Although, personally, I’d love to try the weapon v. armor sometime.)

I don't think the group that I played with ever used weapons versus armor but alignment languages can be a lot of fun if you assume 'alignments' as organizations (e.g., The Brotherhood of Lawful Evil, The Sect of Chaotic Good, etc) and their respective 'languages' as code talking. In any other context, though, I agree that the idea of 'alignment languages' is pretty screwy.

I like what is considered retro these days, but if I was going to go that retro, I think I'd probably rather play Castles and Crusades since it does an adequate job being retro while detangling a lot of the wonky mechanics, but let's face it, Gygax's writing alone in those books is worth the price of admission, so I'd be down with it.
