Cyberpunk?

Who needs Cybernet anyway? Cyberpunk 2020 is the iconic Cyberpunk game and despite competition from Shadowrun, which is it's own nitch, remains so today. Simple system, horribly lethal combat, lots of flare, Cyberpunk 2020 is the stuff.

Now, admittedly, ENWorld is a d20 fan site, but there's not been a d20 supplement for the Cyberpunk genre that comes close to capturing the Cyberpunk 2020 feel.

i think Cyberpunk 2020 is the best then theme is concerned but it's not as if the rules are so great. Still I don't think everything just has to be d20 either and honestly I allready know the rules of 4 Cyberpunk games, I don't really know if I will read Cybernet too just cause it's D20.

Oh, I might be up to putting something together for Cyberpunk 2020. I'll have to give it some thought though. Haven't ever run a PBP and the crawling pace of the format gets under my skin. Especially for a genre like Cyberpunk where so much is based off interaction with NPCs and asking important questions that need answers.

Well, from my experience of pbp, it seems to only drag out when combat comes around. (and i hate that) I like the interaction and feel that there's plenty of room for that in this type of game. It seems to give everybody a voice whereas some people can tend to fall to the wayside in a face to face because they're not assertive enough. I would run it, but I'm currently contemplating another game. If that one falls through however, you could see another post looking for 2020 players.
