First off, I wasn't quite sure where to post this (House Rules, d20system, natural20press, rules, or even General) - so feel free to move this to the right forum!
I also didn't want to seem as if that was an excuse for using the General forum and it's superior visitor rate... so here we are!
Now, I've studied the above-mentioned rules change in the latest issue of Asgard, and I happen to like it.
I am concerned, however, whether players really will use the alloted skill points for background skills or whether they will uise this to gain only more major skills.
I wouldn't want all fighters to get "carft (weaponsmith)", or all clerics only take "knowledge (religion)" with their new skill points.
Has anybody really implemented the system and tried it? Or read it and didn't like it? If so, why not?
Or do you want to put my doubts to rest? Go ahead!
