D&D (2024) D&D 2024 Rules Oddities (Kibbles’ Collected Complaints)

On its face with a quick read, I don’t find much of a problem with See Invisible revealing hidden creatures in addition to invisible creatures.

Can someone breakdown where this could be an undesirable mixing?

I see nothing wrong with this. We need more shield bashing for Sword n Board.
That's what I thought they meant at first, too, and I was like "how is this a problem!?"

But, no - it's a very very silly thing of attacking with the weapon in your hand, stowing it, drawing another, and attacking with that one.

I disagree with that last one (I mean, you can rule however you like) but I think that one of the intents of the (clearly messy) new stealth rules is worth preserving:
Well I don't have any confirmation to say what the intention is. I'm just assuming it's similar to the previous rules.

But I would be fine if it broke if you didn't have cover at the end of your turn, or similar.

I haven't commented much on this ability, but there is a way for it to make sense I think.

Doesn't the See Invisibility spell allow you to see into the Ethereal plane? That might explain why this happens, even if the target has cover. But I'd need to see the spell wording to be sure.

Yeah, end of your turn sounds perfect. It's very weird that it seems to have no duration at all beyond "being found" (or making noise and all that).

Nope. It just lets you see invisibility.
And hidden is now invisibility.

But perhaps the spell lets you see something like life force, or thermal vision, which makes anyone glow to you.
