D&D 3.0 Core books worth keeping?

Hey guys and gals,

I picked up the core 3.5 books cause I walked into a wonderful sale at the mall. (Buy 4 books get the 5th one free) I wasn't really planning on picking them up right away but I've never been good at walking away from a sale...

So now I have 3.0 books that I'm not sure if I'll ever need. I was wondering should I keep them or try and get rid of them? Also what's the "going rate" on them? :D

and no I'm not looking to sale on the board... So I guess I'm just curious.

I keep all my books as it is fun to go read them again after 20 years. I doubt you'd get much for them as I've seen many people saleing them and they did have a huge print run.

Personally, I wouldn't get rid of them. (And, strangely enough, I'm not). I've still got all my rulebooks, from oAD&D onwards.

Although 3.5E largely incorporates everything in 3E, there are things it leaves out - just compare the random dungeon encounter tables, for instance.

Cheers!

Personally, I'm selling my 3.0s real cheap to a friend of mine as I replace them with 3.5. Reason being is that my friend hasn't been keeping up with D&D and RPGing in general, so giving him the 3.0s should give him a leg up on that. I figure that they'll get more use that way than just having them sit around, take up room, and gathering dust.

Keep them just so I can have every edition PHB. However, I am lending them out for free to anyone that asks what the hell this D&D thing is. Might get some more gamers :).

Old 3.0 books make excellent corner and cover protectors for 3.5 books if you use backpacks to transport them to games. Corebook sandwich!
