D&D 3.5 gp to Wealth DC conversion?

Hey all,

I'm running a d20 Modern game set in a D&D-like fantasy world. Has anybody gotten a simple conversion method for D&D 3.5 standard equipment -- weapons, armor, horses? Trying to compare the items listed in the 3.5 SRD in gp costs with the Wealth DC of similar items in the d20 Modern SRD yields radically different results, likely because some things are easier to get in the past than they are in the present, and vice versa.

Also, are prices for common things like that handled in d20 Past?

Second World Sourcebook has some tables on the subject as well. Both 2WS and Wulf's take are similar in spots, too. You can reverse engineer some equations from d20 Mecha to get a satisfactory GP-wealth conversion.
