[D&D 3.5]To the Death [Taking Alternates]

No Way

First Post
Ah, the Gladiatorial contests in the greatest city in the world, Tarn. There is something to see. People, beasts, and monsters from all over the planes competing for the favor of crowd and king. Blood mixing with the sand, or the water, or whatever the wizards have made the battlefeild for that day. A chance to win unrivaled fame and wealth, or to run out of money and not get ressurcted.

This will be a 3.5 game, set in the city of Tarn. Tarn is a huge city, with gates that connect it to quite a few other planes. Nearly everything one could want (and many things one wouldnt want) can be found in Tarn. The biggest building, and the most important, in the city are the gladitorial pits. A huge complex of buildings, it is always teeming with life and action. One can go anywhere once you prove yourself in the pits. Infact, the current king, Dorn Ironfist, was the pit champion for a decade. There are 5 competing gladitorial "stables" that make their homes in the complex. The stables are Calcar, Acer, Bors, Edurus, and Valtin. The more favor and fame their fighters get, the higher their stable moves up the rankings, as show by the constantly shifting flags flying atop the stadium.
The characters have been recruited by the Acer stable, and have all arrived in the city being lead by a guide.

Now for the rules!
Edition-3.5
Level - 6
HP- Standard max at first, half everyother level.
Wealth - As Normal as a 6th level PC.
Stats - 32 Point Buy
Books Allowed - All 3 Core Books, The Complete Warrior, Complete Divine, The Expanded Psionics Handbook (Psionics and Magic both work off the same system, so SR = PR and PR = SR), Ebberon, 3.5 FRCS/FRCS, and things can be requested from Unearthed Arcana. I will not guarantee anything from Unearted Arcana will be allowed though, since there is a ton of stuff in that book.
Aligment- Anything that will allow them to work with the rest of the party.
Gods - Greyhawk, FRCS, and Ebberon. No Clerics without a god, sorry.

I will be recruiting 5-6 players. This campagin will have a large amount of combat, so if you cant post at least 1-2 times a day most days, please dont apply. Of course, if you have to go somewhere or something, I understand.

This wont be a first come first serve for admission. Please post your chars here, and I will pick 5-6 of them based on how well I think they would work togeather, party balance, and flavor. No super munchkinized pcs need apply.

There will be drama and intruige in the campagin, but not many (if any) outdoor parts of the adventure, so dont plan your character around that. Perform (Gladitorial), Diplomacy, Sleight of Hand, and Intmidate are also highly recomended skill, since it will win you favor with the crowd, which is worth more than gold.

edit- Edited in point buy, and fixed some spelling.
Double Edit - Please include a point buy breakdown for your stats, and item costs in your equipment section. This saves me a ton of time and effort using Redblade to figure out if your over your gold limit. Also clarifed the wealth thing.
Triple Edit- Here are the accepted people
1. Nac Mac Feegle, playing Nac Mac Feegle, Grig Barb 6
2. Mad Maxim, playing Edos Galtros, Elan Psion 6
3. Diirk, playing Gerad Stonefate, Dwarven Necro 4/Fighter 2
4. Li Shenron, playing Regina Goldweaver, Dwarven Cleric 6
5. Kelleris, playing Loopmotten Scheppen the First, Human Barb1/Battle Sorc5
6. Temujin, playing Jules 'The Badger' Knight, Human Monk 1/Fighter 5.

Alternates-

2.Hafrogman
3.Dave O

First off, welcome to the boards! :) If there is anything I can do to make your PbP gaming more fun let me know. :)

I once had a Dark Sun character that was a blind gladiator... She sort of saw by a very limited second sight, just a few feet out… I wouldn’t mind trying to recreate her... (Though I think it would be hard to do...)

Gestalt characters would help out a lot... :D (not really a power gamer, I just try to develop my characters in to many ways.)

Also you forgot your point buy. :) (which hafrogman pointed out.)

Not sure... I think there all the bane of existence.

I bet if you drop a post in talking the talk here that someone will give you a link or two. :) (You have my permission also if your worried about being off topic.)

I wish you good luck on your gaming. :) I just don't see remaking the blind gladiator as being possible with the normal feats, and with the class abilities that I see as being key. :)

...and wasn't there something with a dancing card... :p

Bye
Thanee

Brother Shatterstone, if you want to play a blind warrior, and are fine with a psychic warrior, I would be perfectly willing to let you trade normal sight for a limited range permanent synesthete power.
