Still waiting for the courier to answer his question, Vannyn turns when the armband is brought up from the hole.

"Here, let me take a look at that."

Vannyn will pick up the armband from whomever collected it from the Kobold and spends a few moments examining it under a Detect Magic.

OOC: Fortunately, that only makes him a little harder to interrogate...

Vannyn turns to the courier, somewhat suspicious of his timely appearance...
"Last I saw you were a little stiff. How'd you manage to recover so quickly?"

The courier seems absentminded for a moment but then answers.

"Hmmm? Oh! It's part of the companies insurance program. We all have a contingency dispel magic. It just takes about three days to work. The scrolls I used up are another part of our insura..."

Then the man stops in word as he remembers something.

"Blasted! That means I have to pay for half of all those things to get replacements. Damn!"

OOC: Just to be sure, the device was found on the kobold here up top. No one has gone below to check on where he was, down the hole.

The device itself radiates conjuration and transmutation magic. The marbles have different auras. These are, in order, conjuration, abjuration, conjuration, transmutation, abjuration, and evocation. All auras are strong.

"Given that you pitched in to help us we should be able to help you out with that."

Now that things have calmed down for a moment, Vannyn issues a Sending to the head of the trading company:
"This is Vannyn. Your courier was attacked while en-route to us and the elixer was stolen. He is alive and well. We will be tracking the thieves and appreciate any assistance you can lend us. When is the soonest you can have a replacement batch of elixer prepared?"

OOC: What's his name? I remember asking but I'm not sure we ever found out.

Dargo spoke up, "Shouldn't we get back to finding that dragon's phlactery. The hole down still seems to be the best bet."

Dargo offered what healing he had to help those injured in the fight with the . . . kobold.

OOC: Character update to be finished by Wednesday

OOC: Any response to the Sending?

"If it's down there we should definately find it quickly."

A reply to the sending is received:

"Thank you for your help. The elixer is a very special order. We will need to check with several suppliers. We will get back to you."

Looking down the hole its jagged edges will make it easy to climb down.

Vannyn casts Fly and is ready to follow someone else down.

Dargo gathered himself, checking over his active spells. He nodded to Vannyn he was ready. All that was left was for someone to lead the way, as Dargo certainly wasn't the appropriate one.

Thergan shrugs his massive shoulders as he spreads his wings, forcing himself into the air. He circles the hole once, still seeming a little shaky after the lightning bolt he took earlier. If he sees nothing immediately threatening, with his sword drawn, he will decend into the hole.
