"Corporate vampires"
As if you were forced to buy 3e and will be forced to buy the revision
As if the game designers themselves aren't part of the process
As if players weren't clamoring for some of these revisions
Sorry, but tossing around serious insults like this is just childish. Corporations are the favorite targets of everybody, especially the media, because they're faceless and easy to paint as the villain. All corporate executives are the devil because they've got more money than you. And because no one understands how wealth is created, they must have gotten that wealth because they "cheated their customers" or "exploited their employees."
This is all just nonsense. These are people, just like you and me, and because they make business decisions, which in no way force any consequences upon you, you go and demonize them. I'm tired of this silliness.
Furthermore, even if this "cheat the customers" mentality were generally true (it's patently false, a load of rubbish advanced by marxist-leaning so-called intellectuals) it's not true in this case.
It would take a madman to say that, since you can get the actual rules for free, you're getting cheated.
Wizards of the Coast cares enough about the quality of the product to put these things out there, and to announce ahead of time that you'll be able to download everything for free.
So, please, if you disagree with this move, then complain about that. But what you engaged in was a personal attack on people that have children to feed and clothe, and care about the game at least as much as you. Furthermore, the very nature of your accusations bears no semblance to reality.
Welcome to the boards.
