D&D 4th Edition, H Series, Online Game

Just got in now.....I am about to start the map for winterhaven and will probably be in map tools most of the night.
Before I go though I will check the game thread.
Sorry about all the typos but I can't seem to edit my posts anymore...it says maybe I no longer has privilages or something like that.
No matter....I shall be more careful in the future over matters of grammar.
Once more....thank you for the prompting guys....especially zardoz.
Most of the games I have DM'd stopped using maps when d6 car wars was popular or SFB fell out of style on the 70's and 80's.
I am expiramenting with movements and strategies but I like to play creatures in a more "dramatic" and less "technical" fashion.
Gives the players a "slight" edge over the unknown of "randomized" PC death.....but every now and then it backfires, I outsmart myself and REALLY hurt the players.
Glad that wasn't the case last time....but the "potential" for disaster with misses and fumbles....at least the worst mistakes happened most of the way through the fight....it was easy to recover.
I will be in thread for a bit.

Peace & Light (and nobody beats Pete's smoked meat!)

I have nearly finished the Winterhaven city map.
About three more small outdoor maps and Shadowfell has one last level to be mapped and all of module one will be finished.
I will take a day or two to prepare my new thread....maybe tommorrow or tuesday.....it should be posted by wednesday or thursday with npc's being posted in week following the next Shadowfell installment.
All is looking very good.
I will be in maptools for a few hours if I am needed

Peace & Light

Attention....

Thanks to Zardoz and Ftr.....we all have personalized tokens and portraits
Tokentool came in handy...too bad rptools went down though...we got there in the nick of time it would seem.
Both mapping and macros are coming along.
Be sure to make your entries before next thursday so I can update the adventure thread.
Next session will be awesome.
I am in maptools if there are any questions.

Peace & Light (and imports)

I have just finished watching the maptools tutorials.....wow.....let me just start by saying fog of war is nice but it adds a level of complexity to the map building aspect that at least for now....we might try and avoid.
I am not sure i want to devote 1 full week to place every light in ONE dungeon level.
If started as the map is created, it isn't too bad....but going back to do it once a map is done would be a nightmare.....it starts to make your hair fall out.I will design future maps with this element in mind but already completed maps will just just use the "quick and dirty" method as the tutorial instructor refered to it.
Maptools will be up soon.....I have to walk puppy and get a coffee.
I will be composing my D20 Saga thread today but I may not post it till tommorrow.

Peace & Light

Nice entries one and all in the game thread.....if Thedeathndecay adds his, I can put up the next passage.
Was playing around in token tool....still trying to make a colored background but I will rewatch the tutorial.
Zardoz said 14 seconds....I timed myself at 27, and I made a mistake first time!

Peace & Light

Just a reminder to all that we meet again this Friday at a hair before 4ish.
I will send out e-mails to that effect.
For those of you who are going to follow over, the d20 Star Wars thread has begun....(and the galaxy was never the same after that!)
All is looking good.
I will be in maptools after I do some peripheral chores.
I can be reached there if there are any questions of queries.

Peace & Light (and Fog of War)
