D&D 5E D&D and who it's aimed at

You know what would adult

A Official level 15 campaign in a world where a few high level NPCs exist and aren't faded on the background.

Navigate the world being stronger than 99.99% of the humanoid population and deal with the social, economic, political, moral, and cultural impacts and effects of that.

Play D&D when you have the power and everyone knows it and is looking at you.

Or or we can have another setting, monster book, or adventure that only focuses on the level 1-7 stuff.

High level stuff doesn't sell never has.

Most play lvl 1-6 very few level 10+ (10%).

Level 15 is approaching 1%.

That is basically where my group is at in our setting. The most powerful NPC in world is a 12th level cleric. Our group is 15th level. However, there are still some monsters that are more than their match, but not many.

High level stuff is rarely produced well and most DMs have not been trained to run such a campaign.

High level stuff isn't low level stuff with bigger numbers.
No one buys Low Level stuff with bigger numbers.
I don't see it happening.

Requires a lot of experience to even attempt it and not much fun even if you do it. I haven't made it past level 13/15 in 5E.

5E also starts to fall apart after level 8 or so.

Well let me check out what's coming out then...View attachment 155832View attachment 155835View attachment 155834View attachment 155831Yup, back to my OSR games I go. Have fun with your totally grown up D&D...
These posters look like a 70s Disney Cartoon. The adventures of the Spell Jammers first one. Second one is the villains. Third is the pet and fourth is the primary singer they paid to do a musical number. Something my Mom would give me $3 to see on base. 1.25 ticket fee and rest for snacks. Can some take the cotton Candy filter away from the artistis.

High level D&D is super fun. It just takes knowing how to do it.

There's nothing more adult than technically having all the ability to do everything but not being able to actually do it because of some stupid adult thing.

Right, and why would I want to do that, when I have nothing but 'adulting' in the real world?

Just as, why would I want to solve problems with understanding, compromise, compassion, non-violence, and patience, when I have to do that every single day.

Just give me some daggers, or a big sword, and let me kick in the door please. ;)
