They are like bases for minis or the Pathfinder standees. It saves on cost because you aren't going to need all the "minis" at once. But why?
Sticking markers to the tokens for status effects will be useful. Also they'll probably stick to those magnetic bases of mini's as status effect markers. So I gather the point is to have a single set of plastic disks and only have to buy cheaper sheets of monster decals to temporarily stick on them, rather than buy more expensive sheets of heavy cardboard pog-type tokens or even more expensive minis. The magnetic feature could be useful to stick on white-boards on the wall or something.
Am I understanding that correctly?
I'm not sure what is the purpose of the platic disks?
What's the price for the box, it does seem like something I'd buy.
These are a new style of token, the "clings" are not stickers, they can be placed and removed from the plastic disks. So, once you've put the clings you want for the encounter on disks, they work just like any other flat token, to be used instead of miniatures or standees. Then, when done, you put the clings back on the sheets and you're ready to build the next encounter. But why?
